Our Educational Philosophy
Elite Early Learning Center strives to maintain high standards, well-planned facilities, and a wide variety of materials and equipment serving as a model for other programs in Shiawassee County and surrounding communities.
The curriculum is based on the philosophies of both Piaget and Vygotsky, stressing the importance of encouraging children to construct their own knowledge from a wide variety of activities along with adult support to help them advance to higher levels of cognitive and reflection. Curriculum is interpreted in such a way that it encourages exploration, play, and creative potential. Such interpretation involves teachers assuming an active role in the creative process.
Our values and beliefs about children are deeply rooted in the history of Early Childhood Education.
